These Are the Most Exciting Hotels Opening in 2020

For some people, hotels are simply a place to sleep at night when you’re on vacation. However, for others, it’s a vital part of the traveling experience. If you’re in the latter category, you might be interested in staying at one or more of these upcoming properties.

BOOK1 Design Hotel (Aarhus)

Nordic designs might seem strange or unconventional to some people, but there’s no denying that they’re surprisingly alluring. That’s why we’re excited about the new property coming to Aarhus, Denmark, in April 2020. It’s set in an old library and offers 444 beds for prospective visitors. Some of these will be their own suites, while others will be shared bunks, presumably to give customers more variety. The establishment will also feature bars, a sauna, and a food court that provides traditional dishes, making this the place to be come spring.

Harding Boutique Hotel (Ahangama)

Sri Lanka might not always have the greatest reputation, but it’s set to get one of the best hotels in 2020. This comes in the form of the Harding Boutique Hotel in Ahangama, which will open in the summer. Although the property doesn’t offer many rooms – it only has six – those which are available are a work of art. They incorporate tropical modernism and natural light to create a masterpiece in room design. Plus, they offer the most spectacular views of the Indian Ocean on the horizon.

Arthaus Gemmayze (Beirut)

If you love a bit of culture on your vacation, you might want to stop off at Arthaus Gemmayze during your travels. This refurbished property used to be the home of art collectors, hence why the place is adorned with paintings. There’s also plenty of antique furniture here, some of which you’ll find in the outdoor spaces that are overflowing with lush greenery. For a few hundred dollars, you can expect to enjoy cuisine from an aspiring chef and relax in the building’s underground lounge.

Ambient, A Landscape Hotel (Arizona)

Anyone not looking to travel abroad in 2020 can stay in this new development in Arizona. Although it doesn’t open until the winter, it offers an experience that’s set to make customers feel at one with nature. Each element of the hotel – which is actually 40 individual cubes – has been designed to work in harmony with the environment. This development is certainly going to be an experiment, and one that we hope will pay off for everyone involved.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay (Virgin Gorda)

This hotel might not technically be new, but it is opening its doors again for the first time in four years. After being devastated by Hurricane Irma, the establishment has had to go through a ton of refurbishment. Thankfully, it’s going to be back and better than ever in 2020. There are 82 redesigned rooms and villas available here, all of which offer stunning views and excellent proximity to the beach. If you never had a chance to stay here before, now is definitely the time to do it.

It looks like 2020’s going to be an excellent year for vacations.
