Sydney is on many people’s bucket lists. There are plenty of reasons that people want to head Down Under and explore the city, but what about if you don’t have much time to take it in? Thankfully, you don’t have to worry. Here’s everything to see in Sydney in just 36 hours.

Visit Circular Quay

When you think of Sydney, the chances are your mind wanders to the Opera House. A trip to the city wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Circular Quay, aka the home of the Opera House. That’s not all that’s on offer here. Circular Quay is also where to find Harbor Bridge and The Rocks – the oldest area in the city. When you’re done exploring the famous landmarks, there are plenty of places to eat and drink – including arguably some of the best coffee shops around the globe.

Enjoy a ferry trip to Manly

From Circular Quay, it’s a great idea to grab a ferry to Manly, especially if you have just 36 hours in Sydney. The boats take you right past the famous Opera House, while your destination opens the door to plenty of bike rides as you explore the area. Taking a trip to Manly Beach is great if you want to experience some incredible Australian beaches. Plus, there are several souvenirs stands and cafes to keep you busy.

Soak up Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, let alone Australia. Thankfully, you don’t have to travel far with your 36 hours in Sydney to see it for yourself. A short bus ride is usually all it takes to get to the beach. Once you’re here, you can enjoy all kinds of fun under the sun. From having a splash in the water to learning how to surf and everything in between, it seems the possibilities are endless when it comes to Bondi Beach.

Take in Darling Harbor

Darling Harbor is another place filled with incredible sights and sounds that can only be found in Sydney, Australia. Here, visitors can find several highly praised cafes that are filled with seafood dishes. There is also the Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship. If all of that isn’t enough to draw you to Darling Harbor already, getting a ferry from Circular Quay takes you under the Harbor Bridge.

Learn at Taronga Zoo

You’ll be able to take a break from the city with a visit to Taronga Zoo as it’s found on its own island, meaning a gondola ride over the city is the first thing on the cards. Once here, you can spend some of your 36 hours in Sydney cuddling the famous Australian animals: koalas.

Sydney is filled with so many things to see and do. While many people can spend weeks in the city and still not cross everything off their bucket list, there are ways you can see everything that Sydney has to offer in just 36 hours. Miracles really do happen.
