Tower Bridge, London
London is one of the most iconic cities in the world, and it’s fair to say that Tower Bridge is one of the reasons for that. This bridge is known for its impressive Victorian aesthetic, but the coolness doesn’t stop after you’ve checked out the giant towers and the suspension cords. That’s because this bridge also lifts up to allow larger boats to make their way along the River Thames.

If you’ve ever been to Singapore, you’ll know that the architecture is modern and vibrant, and this bridge is no different. The Henderson Waves Bridge connects two different parks in the country, and it takes the crown as the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It’s also one of the coolest, as it has been designed in the shape of a wave.

Berlin is full of waterways and bodies of water, which is why they have so many bridges. However, the
Magdeburg Water Bridge is a little different. That’s because it’s actually an aqueduct, and features two pathways for pedestrians either side of the raised water passage. What makes this bridge even cooler is that this makeshift river flows right above the river Elbe!
Si-o-se Pol, Iran
The Zayandeh River is one of the most iconic rivers in Iran, and the Si-o-se Pol bridge has the pleasure of standing tall above it. Often called the “Bridge of 33 Arches,” this bridge features beautiful arches, tiles, murals, and more, and it even lights up at night. Due to the incredible length and the reflection of the bridge in the water, it also looks as though this bridge carries on for miles. It really does have to be seen to be believed.
The world is full of bridges, and there’s a high chance that you drive or walk across one or a few bridges every single day. However, none are quite as impressive as these amazing and awe-inspiring constructions.
