5 Must-Visit Shopping Destinations In Dubai

Ah, Dubai. The city has caught many of our eyes over the years, and it looks as though there are more than one reasons to head to the City of Gold. One of the main attractions? The must-see shopping destinations scattered throughout the city.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

If you want to experience an authentic soul, then it could be time to check out Souk Madinat Jumeirah. The market is filled with hundreds of stalls that can see buyers lost for hours amongst it all. Jewelry, antique furniture, and everything in between are all up for grabs here. However, have no worries about getting hot and bothered. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is indoors and fully air-conditioned.

Ibn Battuta Mall

If you want to enjoy some stores that are a little closer to home while still taking in the wonders of Dubai, then Ibn Battuta Mall could be the answer. Accessorize, Next, and Top Shop fill the space. However, it can be hard to ignore the decor that was chosen thanks to Ibn Battuta, a Moroccan explorer’s travels. The mall contains plenty of displays that describe his journeys, as well as giant models of an elephant and a ship.

Bur Dubai Souk

This shopping destination is unlike many others in Dubai as Bur Dubai Soul is a market filled with local goods and handmade crafts. The stalls are all filled with spices and pashminas as well as unusual gifts that are tough to find anywhere else. If you make it to the end of the souk, you can catch a glimpse of the Shri Nathji Jayate Temple. Here, vendors typically offer a host of incense, local candy, and flower garlands.

BurJuman Centre

Although BurJuman Centre is in the less affluent area of Dubai, the mall is still filled with a host of designer brands, such as Louis Vuitton and Versace. The best bit? It also offers up a host of mid-range designer outlets for those on more of a budget, including DKNY and Guess. BurJuman Centre has a different atmosphere to many other malls in Dubai, thanks to the outdoor gardens that give shoppers some space to relax.

Dubai Mall

Amazingly, this is the largest mall in the world. It’s filled with 1,200 stores and more than 5 million square feet of retail floor. The best bit? Burberry, Prada, Dior, and Gucci are just some of the many designer names that fill the space, with Gold Souk offering up hundreds of market stalls filled with gold jewelry. If you want a way to break up all that spending, then be sure to head to the largest indoor aquarium in the world that fills the ground level of Dubai Mall.

Heading to Dubai means different things to everyone. However, if there’s one thing that many of us want to enjoy, it’s the incredible shopping on offer across the city. It could be time to add to your collection of designer threads or enjoy the local culture, thanks to the must-visit shopping destinations in Dubai.
