If you grew up reading or watching ‘Winnie the Pooh,’ the characters and setting are probably something that you’ll treasure forever. Some of you may even wish you could be a part of Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore’s world. Well, perhaps you can. After all, Airbnb has a listing for a treehouse that’s designed to look exactly like the one in the stories.

It lives in Ashdown Forest
For those who weren’t aware, the Hundred Acre Wood is inspired by a real-life location in England. You can find it in East Sussex, a county around 30 miles south of London. It’s called Ashdown Forest, and it’s here that you’ll find the treehouse themed around ‘Winnie the Pooh.’ The middle of a forest might not seem like the ideal place to have a property, but this location makes perfect sense once you see the treehouse.

The exterior is a faithful recreation
Disney is responsible for bringing Pooh’s treehouse to life, so it might be no surprise the utmost care has been taken to recreate the property faithfully. One glimpse at the outside should bring the nostalgia flowing back, from the gold bell at the entrance to the name “Mr. Sanders” written above the door. The building has been cleverly crafted to look like it’s growing out of a tree, which adds a nice touch to the property. With any luck, you’ll feel like you’re being transported to one of your favorite stories before you’ve even stepped foot in the place.

The inside is just as consistent
The exterior of the treehouse gets your hopes up, and thankfully, the interior doesn’t let you down. The inside looks just like you’d want it to, from woodland wallpaper to honey pots in the kitchen. There isn’t a bathroom in the property, because why would a bear need such facilities? Fortunately, there’s a temporary one just outside of the treehouse so that no one has to do their business behind a tree. What’s more, all of the decor was designed by Kim Raymond, who’s been illustrating ‘Winnie the Pooh’ for years. That detail alone lets you know that plenty of knowledge and experience went into creating this treehouse, as well as tons of heart too.

What is there to do there?
The ‘Winnie the Pooh’ treehouse isn’t a luxury resort. Everything is all squeezed into one room, which can only sleep four people max. The property also doesn’t offer a ton of things to do, only really containing beds to sleep on and chairs to relax in. That’s okay, though, because there’s plenty you can do in the surrounding area. Ashdown Forest is a beautiful part of England that’s well worth exploring. You can have a guided tour of the area or head straight down to Poohsticks bridge, where many fans of the series love to go.
It’s highly likely that you’ll never get to meet a genuine talking yellow bear who eats honey. However, thanks to this treehouse, it’s possible for Pooh’s fans to feel like they’re part of those beloved stories, even if only briefly.
