Brand New US Hiking Trails To Add To The List For 2021

Several of us can think of nothing better than getting out in nature. Perhaps it’s time to enjoy some of the brand new US hiking trails to add to the list for 2021? After all, there are plenty of reasons they have found themselves earning a spot on the list of things to see and do across the nation.

Green Chile Flow Trail – New Mexico

It might be just three-and-a-half miles long, but the Green Chile Flow Trail in New Mexico is one of the best ways to take in the scenery if you love mountain biking. It’s the first purpose-built downhill trail in Tao and offers everything people of most abilities need to enjoy the ride.

Long Canyon Trail – California

The Joshua Tree National Park has long been a fan favorite for people visiting California. Now, there is a brand new 12-mile hiking trail that starts in Desert Hot Springs and makes its way through to Yucca Valley. There is plenty of wildlife and breathtaking sights to see along the way. The best bit? It’s already open but is waiting on trail markers.

Redhead Mountain Bike Park – Minnesota

It turns out the abandoned iron-ore mine pits across the state have been given a new life as Redhead Mountain Bike Park is now open for the world to enjoy. Organizers worked for ten years before it finally opened its doors in 2020 with 25 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails on offer. It seems the park is hoping to offer even more in the future, too.

Palisade Plunge – Colorado

Mountain bikers across the state were ecstatic when news of Palisade Plunge in Colorado was announced. It’s a 32-mile long trail that comes with some stunning – and adrenaline-filled – sections of trail that wind around the state’s Grand Mesa. It’s anticipated the route will be open in summer 2021, meaning there is still time to prepare for this incredible trail to come in 2021.

Spruce Railroad Trail – Washington

The Spruce Railroad Trail was once a historic railroad before it was converted to a brand new US hiking trail in December 2020. It connects existing trails found around the Olympic National Park, including the 130-mile-long Olympic Discovery Trail. However, if you want something a little easier to start, then the Spruce Railroad Rail is just ten miles long and still comes with plenty to see.

Lone Mountain Trail – Texas

Texas is already filled with plenty of hiking trails. Now, there is a brand new one to add to the list for 2021 as Lone Mountain Trail is one the way. Many have often wondered what it would be like to explore the immediate area around Big Bend National Park, and we don’t have to wait long to find out. Once it’s open, it’s expected the loop trail will cover three miles.

The brand new US hiking trails to add to the list for 2021 mean we can get out and enjoy Mother Nature as we should, especially after so many months of missing out on the beauty of the world.
