Hitachi Seaside Park – Japan
Heading to Japan? You just have to check out the Hitachi Seaside Park. Featuring 350-hectares of flowers, people travel to these fields every single April to see the sea of blue in front of them, thanks to the amazing Baby Blue Eyes flowers. Yet, that’s not the only flower on offer. The fields bloom throughout the year with countless other varieties.
Lavender Route – Provence, France
If you have ever come into close proximity with lavender, you’ll know that this flower smells absolutely divine. That’s one of the reasons why it’s used within so many perfumes and fresheners, but did you know that you can check out the amazing Lavender Route in Provence? France as a country features beautiful rolling fields, but the lavender fields in Provence are legendary. From May to August, many of the fields in this area are laden with lavender as far as the eye can see.
Kaas Plateau – India
Planning a trip to India? Well, it would be rude not to check out the Kaas Plateau. This can be found in the Western Ghats region, and the whole area is protected as a UNESCO attraction – which means that you don’t have to worry about it being ruined. After the monsoon hits the area, the Kaas Plateau erupts with wildflowers in all kinds of colors and shapes. So, plan your trip to visit from August to October and you won’t be disappointed.
Shibazakura Field – Greater Tokyo, Japan
Japan seems to be the place for flowers, as the Shibazakura Field is also an amazing flower field. With Mount Fuji in the background, these flower fields are actually located around the famous Fuji Five Lakes. What’s so incredible about these flowers is that they are all bright pink, and they are related to the cherry blossom that can be found on the trees. They can be seen from April to May every year.
Lake Tekapo – New Zealand
Okay, it might not technically be a flower field, but that doesn’t mean that Lake Tekapo is any less impressive. New Zealand is known for its natural beauty, but there’s no doubt about the fact that Lake Tekapo is something special. As one of the largest alpine lakes in the country, many people flock to see this lake, not only for its size, but also for a phenomenon that takes place every November to December. During this time, the edge of the lake explodes with multi-colored wild lupines.
